Tasty Tuesday- Weekly Menu 5-10

So since my recipes are meeting with mixed reviews I thought I would go simpler this Tuesday and share a weekly menu. I actually make my menus up 2 weeks at a time due to military paydays, but I thought that would be to boring of a post.  You may notice that I am only posting 6 meals. This is because I alot one day a week for either eating out or leftovers. So without further ado this is what the Goodmans are eating this week:

Lunches:
Chili Dogs, Grapes, Chips
PBJ, Pretzels, Bananas
Toasted Ravioli, Salad, Oranges
Sandwich Melts, Apples& Dip, Chips
Frito Pie, Fresh Pineapple
BBQ Chicken Sandwiches, Chips, Oranges

Dinners:
Blackened Tilapia, Rice Pilaf, Steamed Veggies
Grilled Hot Dogs, Baked Beans, Strawberries
Pizza & Salad
Spatchcocked Chicken, Cucumber Salad, Crash Potatoes
Fake Filet O Fish, Coleslaw, Fries
Sausage Rigatoni Bake, Ceaser Salad, Garlic Bread

And because life isn't worth living without Dessert, I am making:
Blackberry Cobbler, Banana Cookies, Earthquake Cake.

If any of this sounds yummy and you would like the recipe be sure and leave me a comment and I will either email the recipe or send you the link. I am trying a few new things this week  so hopefully I will have something delicious to blog about next Tuesday:)

Okay, so I will take the bait: what is spatchcocked chicken? It does sound like it would go well with "crash potatoes". I think your lunch menu looks more like my dinner menu...:) And are you making your pizza or buying it?

I'm curious about Earthquake Cake. Sounds GREAT, and like it doesn't have to turn out pretty to be edible. Blackberry cobbler....YUM!!! Drool!!!

I'm with Clare...your lunches are pretty elaborate. We usually eat leftovers or whatever's fast. I'm moving in with you. You're a great cook!

Spatchcocked Chicken is just fun"ner" to say than butterflied grilled chicken. Basically you take the backbone out of a whole chicken. Season that badboy and put him on the grill for about 1/2 an hour. Viola you have YUMMY, moist grilled chicken with little work:) Look it up online if you want further details/instructions.

Pizza is WAY to cheap for me to waste time making it;) Although occasionally I get a hankering for Chef Boyrdee (sp?) Crust so we buy the box you introduced me to Clare.

R.D. I haven't made Earthquake Cake yet, but I saw it on a blog and basically it contains all the yummy dessert ingredients I could think of! There is chocolate cake, butter, cream cheese, choc. chips, and coconut. The finished product really does look like it was hit by an earthquake. I'm just hopin it rocks my world;)

Wow, I am pleased beyond measure that you are my offspring, Robyn. The menus all sound fun. Wished we lived closer so we could come over for spatchcocked chicken (although it sounds like a dirty word :) and then we could enjoy Earthquake cake. Take pictures because we will all want to see it.

I want to come for blackened Talipia! Mom never makes seafood and I love it. Also, the rest of yout meals sound super tasty. Are you planning on staying in North Carolina for a long time, because maybe I will live by you when I go to college and eat all your food. ;)

Lisa Dawn - you should totally live by Robyn when you're in college. Having your mom nearby when I was at my first year at Eastern made life completely fun. I used to take Robyn, Clare and Clark to the cafeteria and buy them dinner. We had a blast :)
